What is SONAR?
SONAR is a small academic conference run by, and held at StellarCon. The first SONAR will be March 3, 2012 at StellarCon 36.
Who can present at SONAR?
Anyone can present, whether student, professional, or academic faculty.
What sorts of talks are appropriate for SONAR?
Virtually any topic can be a sound basis for a SONAR talk. Our main requirements are that the talks be academic in nature, and accessible to a general audience. StellarCon draws a very broad audience, ranging from high school and college students to professionals and retirees.
How long should my SONAR talk be?
Student and general talks should be kept to 15 minutes. Professional and faculty talks should be kept under 25 minutes.
What does it cost to attend SONAR?
Presenters will receive a free weekend pass to StellarCon 36.
Attendees must purchase either a weekend or Saturday membership to StellarCon 36.
UNCG Students, Faculty, and Staff attend StellarCon free.
